house guidelines to avoid surprise charges

Please review the information on this page for a more comfortable stay and to avoid surprise charges on your room statement. Specifically, please be aware of the following charges:

  • 25 GBP per day smoke disinfection. Can smoke on balconies with doors closed.

  • 25 GBP per incident for AC left ON while away from room or while windows / doors open.

  • 25 GBP: Late check out without prior arrangement. Check out time is 12:00.

General information

  • Reception & Check In: 8:00 – 23:00

  • Taxis: Last Call: 22:00 Last Pick Up: 22:30

  • Swimming Pool Hours: 8:00 - 20:00

  • Menu - Click to See

    • Breakfast: 8:00 – 10:30

    • Lunch 12:00 – 14:30

    • Dinner: 19:00 – 21:30

    • Bar: Last Drinks Served 23:00

    • Room Service: Until 23:00 - Tray Fee 5 GBP

  • Deck: May – October. Hours adjusted for November through April.

  • Check out is at 11 am. If checking out while the reception is closed, please settle your balance during reception hours and leave your key in the door outside.

  • Wi-Fi is complementary however please avoid services such as Netflix as our bandwidth is not suitable for extensive entertainment over Wi-Fi.

  • Hot and cold water may take some time to reach your room depending on outside temperature.

  • Please do not reserve sun beds, avoid excess tanning oil while using the pool and use the shower by the pool before going into the water to help keep its water enjoyable and safer for everyone.

  • Please don’t leave your belongings unattended anywhere, especially our deck.

  • Our rooms are smoke free. You are welcome to use your balconies to smoke however please keep doors closed to prevent the smoke from going in.

  • Any purchases you make while with us can only be charged to your room. No cash.

  • Please do not bring food or drinks from outside.

  • Our emergency assembly point is the car park.

  • Save our planet. Energy is precious. Please keep temperature setting at or above 20 degree Celsius. Lower temp causes condensation / dripping and doesn’t improve cooling. Please only use on / off button on the remote and avoid changing other temperature settings. Use of your air conditioning is free; we would never want to have to attach a charge to it. However, there may be a charge for unfair use so please keep the following points in mind.

    • Please keep your AC off while there is no one in the room.

    • Please keep your doors and windows closed while your AC is on.

room mobile phone

Your room comes with a mobile phone. You can use it not only anywhere at High Life but also in North Cyprus while you are out and about. There is no charge when you call High Life’s numbers from anywhere or if you receive calls. Outgoing calls to other numbers incur a connection fee plus applicable charges. Please let us know if you will need to make outgoing calls so that we can add funds to your line.

  • Connect with us with just 4 digits.

    • Reception: 4040 (Eugeniu), 4080 (Waiter), 4000 (Huseyin).

    • Rooms: 50XX where XX is room number.

    • Short codes don’t work if phone limit is reached. Dial full numbers free of charge when that’s the case.

    • Direct full #: +90 548 863 80XX where XX is room number.

  • You can use your room’s phone as an Alarm Clock.

  • Please be careful when using by the pool or on the deck. Water / wet hands can easily damage the phone.

  • Please do not open the back cover of your room phone.

  • Please do not use any chargers to charge your room phone. We regularly charge it.

  • Please do not change any settings of your room phone.

  • You may want to silence your room phone before sleep.

  • Damaged, altered or lost room phones incur a 40 GBP charge.

TV & Remote Control

  • Use the black TV remote for the following:

    • To turn TV on / off.

    • To adjust volume.

    • Do not use your TV remote to change source (unless you connect another device to the TV).

    • Do not use your TV remote to change channels via numbers or CH button.

  • Use the red / silver Cable remote for the following:

    • To change channels via + and – Ch buttons and the guide.

    • To adjust volume.

    • Keep your cable box on all times. There is no need to turn it on and off.

  • Problems / troubleshooting:

    • No picture? Press Source on TV remote repeatedly until you find picture.

    • Cable box message? Turn off cable box. Take out cable box card and put back in. Turn on.

    • Cable box message still there? Disconnect cable box from power (from behind box), wait 15 seconds. Reconnect power and turn on. Wait while system restarts.

    • Still problems? Call the reception.

  • For A Better Pool Experience

    • Enjoy complimentary pool / beach towels. We can switch them every 5 - 7 days.

    • Avoid excessive use of sun tan lotions and use the pool shower before going in so that our pool remains crystal clear. Going into the pool without a shower will cause discoloration of the water.

  • Food & Beverage Policy by the Pool / Beach Area

    • Please do not bring food or drinks to our pool / deck area from elsewhere. We are happy to serve you snacks and drinks at our reasonable prices. Please be aware that there will be a table fee for food or beverages brought from outside to our pool / deck area.
